Arborists appreciate the importance of a well-stocked, reliable trauma pack and Simarghu delivers just that with its new, redesigned ‘best on the market’ offering. Designed in conjunction with medical professionals, the Simarghu Arborist Personal Trauma Kit £100, is a ‘must-have’ piece of equipment, especially for those operating machinery such as chainsaws.

The new ‘clam-like’ foldout design of the pack enables quick and easy identification and access to time-critical lifesaving medical supplies, including a Celox Haemostatic Dressing for rapid blood clotting in the event of an arterial bleed, a military-grade Haemorrhage Control Bandage and new, improved Combat Application Tourniquet.

The new pack design attaches securely to an arborist’s harness and features a MOLLE System that allows the pack to be quickly and easily detached from a climbing harness in the event of an emergency. The addition of a lanyard ensures that if the pack is dropped it won’t fall to the ground when working at height and will remain constantly accessible.

The contents of the kit, listed below, will prove invaluable in the event of traumatic bleeding where every second counts in ensuring the survival of the casualty.

1 x Celox Rapid Haemostatic Z-Fold Gauze

This is the fastest acting haemostatic gauze on the market that stops severe arterial bleeding with only 60 seconds compression. The current generation of haemostatic agents need at least three minutes of compression to work. Celox Rapid Gauze speeds up packing time with a reduced compression time of just 60 seconds.

1 x Haemorrhage Control Bandage

This multi-functional bandage and trauma wound dressing, known in military circles worldwide as an ‘Israeli Bandage’ allows for one-handed quick and effective application.

1 x CAT Combat Application Tourniquet (GEN7)

Used by the US Military, the GEN7 tourniquet offers one-handed simple application. Following extensive field reviews it has been completely redesigned, making it the most effective Combat Application Tourniquet to date.
