Ponsse is launching a new PONSSE H7HD Euca harvester head for delimbing, in addition to the previous launch of the H8 HD Euca. The newest and most powerful equipment further reinforces Ponsse’s strategy of being the world leader in the manufacture of harvester heads.
“This new harvester head was developed together with our customers, based on their feedback. Our goal was to develop an even more powerful and productive solution for the processing of eucalyptus trees, which would withstand even the most extreme conditions, and we were successful in this with the PONSSE H7 HD Euca ”, says Janne Loponen, product manager for the division Ponsse harvester head.
The H7 HD Euca can be installed on the PONSSE Cobra, Scorpion King and Ergo harvesters, but can also be mounted on machines with conveyors between 16 and 22 tonnes.
The PONSSE H7 HD Euca harvester head body consists of a robust structure, developed by Ponsse. It withstands the most extreme operating conditions, both on forest machines and on track machines. The geometry and technical solutions were designed to ensure maximum efficiency during delimbing, feeding and cutting. The development of the harvester head also focused on mechanical durability and ease of maintenance.
Efficient feed rollers and peeling knives guarantee excellent delimbing results, from start to finish. The tilt structure, solid and robust, provides the head with the necessary durability when debarking. Automatic functions control the cutting movements according to the diameter of the tree and the position of the saw, allowing quick cutting of the trees.
PONSSE harvester heads are designed to withstand the most extreme conditions. They stand out for their simple and robust structure, which is why they can be used in various forest applications, from harvesters to tracked solutions. All PONSSE harvester heads are manufactured and developed at the Ponsse plant in Vieremä, Finland. The comprehensive design applies to both mechanical components, as well as the electronic control system, controls and software.
