High-achieving forestry graduates, or those about to graduate in forestry or related subjects such as land management, environmental studies or horticulture, will be ideally placed to join Tilhill’s three-year graduate programme. Successful applicants are assigned to an office or business stream where they learn every aspect of that area, including shadowing highly experienced colleagues. Graduate trainees are offered mentoring and are paired with an experienced manager during their training period.

Tilhill’s managing director Gavin Adkins said: “It is a very exciting time to join the forest industry, with woodland creation playing an increasingly important role in climate change mitigation Our years of experience in planting trees and creating woodlands and forests, coupled with our new business venture, CarbonStore, make Tilhill a cutting-edge company, playing a significant role in the climate change aspirations. Tilhill is a superb company to work for with a wide variety of roles across the UK on offer.”

As a member of the BSW Group, the company also offers a broad range of opportunities to engage with the group’s forest nursery and sawmills and be a part of the unique seed to sawmill story that BSW offers.

Applications are now open with placements starting in June 2021. CVs and covering letters should be emailed to [email protected]. The deadline to apply is 28 February 2021.
